Nov 19 A Wedding BeyondExpecTASTEtions

If you weren’t already aware, Taste Tester #1 and I tied the knot on October 31st this year! Even though I had to trade in consistent blogging over the past six months in order to plan a wedding, it was 100% worth it! The whole weekend was so memorable and special. What I really loved and appreciated was that so many of the little things and special touches were planned and executed by my mother and me. Even though it took TT #1 to form a true marriage, I certainly couldn’t have done the wedding itself without my Mom. She provided amazing support and took the reins with many of the vendor relations that I just couldn’t handle during the workday.

For those of you with a wedding in the future, I’m here to say that is definitely possible to plan your Pinterest perfect wedding within six months, even without a wedding planner. All you really need are a strong support team, and of course some great vendors. I was extremely lucky to work with some of the most amazing, organized and professional people during my wedding planning process. Due to them being pro’s, during the wedding weekend I was able to actually relax and know that everyone’s jobs were handled and our day was going to be magical.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing a post about each of the people we worked with to make our day a success. I’ll also be sharing some DIY tips for those brides who want to spend their wedding budget smartly, and add lots of personal elements to the day. One of my favorite parts of the actual wedding day was hearing from our guests that they loved some of the smaller things such as the table decorations, our “guest book,” and the wedding programs- all of which I had put together with the help of TT #1, family, and friends.
