Beyond ExpecTASTEtions Wedding Series
This past April 3rd, after many meals together Taste Tester #1 asked me to be his dining partner for the rest of our lives…and of course I said yes! Since we have been engaged, I’ve been posting a little less often due to all the exiting (and stressful) wedding planning that’s been happening. After discussing many wedding scenarios, we decided to keep our engagement short and sweet and will be getting married on Halloween this year! So that means the dressing up is already set, I’ve never been happier for my “costume” decision already to be made, Bride and Groom is way better than any couple costume I could’ve dreamed up at the last minute prior to Halloween.
Since wedding planning has become such a big part of my life, almost more than eating lately, I’ve decided to do a wedding series on my blog complete with tips and tricks to keep your special day within budget as well as feature all the great people I’ll be working with who’ll be helping to make our day perfect!
I’ve never been the kind of girl who had the exact date or location in mind for my dream wedding. I knew that I wanted it to be a little bit like me, down-to-earth, creative, and a little quirky. So when venue after venue we looked at came back to us with the possibility of a Halloween wedding date we knew it was a match made in heaven. Although the guests won’t be in costume, we’ve already come up with a bunch of ideas to give a nod to Halloween and make our day unique.
So, I hope you’ll follow along in the next few months while I share my thoughts on the whole planning process and hopefully those of you love birds out there will be able to get some great future ideas as well!
Stay tuned for my next wedding series post about how we chose the venue!
